Illustrator, will be attending Play 2026
Francesco Mattioli (Bologna, 1973) began his career as an illustrator of comics and children’s books, later moving into board games through a long collaboration with Ares Games, and eventually specializing in fantasy cartography for Lone Wolf, Lex Arcana, and The One Ring.
In the gamebook field, he is the author of the Shelby series and the editor of the Gamebooks line for Raven / Vincent Books.
