Scientific journalist, will be at Play 2026
Michele Bellone is a science journalist with a PhD in developmental biology and a strong interest in the relationship between science and storytelling.
He collaborates with Codice Edizioni as a non-fiction editor and serves as scientific coordinator of the Festival delle Scienze di Roma. He teaches science communication at SISSA and at the University of Pavia, and runs training courses for researchers, teachers, and communicators. He writes about science, stories, and games for Le Scienze, has developed board games for Fondazione Veronesi and Caritas Ambrosiana, and is a member of the jury for the Gioco di Ruolo dell’Anno award at Lucca Comics & Games.
He is the author of Incanto. Storie di draghi, stregoni e scienziati, where he explores the relationship between science and the fantastical in literature, cinema, games, and comics.
