Game communicator, will be attending Play 2026

I’m Stefano Santilli, passionate about painting and dungeons!

My roots lie in traditional modeling, but my true fascination with the fantasy world began with my first gamebooks, featuring the iconic illustrations of John Blanche. When the first edition of HeroQuest was released, I couldn’t resist painting every single element in the box.

Over time, I turned outreach into my mission. From small local fairs to major events, there has always been a painting table run by me.

Everything truly took shape at Play Modena, when, together with Angelo Di Chello, during a live painting demo, two curious attendees stopped by. We invited them to sit with us: “Do you want to try painting?”. From those first extra chairs, the Intro Painting table was born—an initiative that has become a long-standing tradition and laid the foundations for the Araldi collective.

Today, I coordinate an area where beginners and professionals meet to share techniques and passion.

For a few years now, I’ve also been wearing my Zargon cosplay—the iconic dungeon sorcerer from HeroQuest—which has become like a second skin.

Join me at Play Bologna 2026 to discover the world of miniature painting.
See you at the festival… and watch out for the “Wandering Monster”!
