Do you have a game to pitch to us? Here’s the Call for Digital Games!

LA Play is the Festival of Games.

Analog games — board games, role-playing games, miniatures, and card games — are the heart of Play. But LA Play also features a Digital Games area that explores the connections, hybridizations, and crossovers between analog and digital play.

This year, Play’s Digital Games area offers a dedicated space for the independent exhibition of video games.

Do you have a video game to present?

Prototypes or demos are welcome, as long as they are playable, as well as already published games — especially those released in recent months or years.

Non-profit projects are welcome, as are commercial games. We are not interested in gambling games or projects that rely on predatory monetization models.

We are particularly interested in certain types of video games.

In your application, please indicate whether your game belongs to one or more of the following categories:

Digital games connected to analog play, such as:

  • digital adaptations of board games

  • hybrid analog-digital games

  • games that significantly draw on board game mechanics

  • turn-based strategy games

  • games that make extensive use of cards enhanced through digital mechanics

  • direct digital adaptations of published tabletop games

  • virtual environments for role-playing games or miniature games

  • games about role-playing, miniatures, or tabletop gaming culture

Digital games aligned with the overall theme of LA Play 2026, which celebrates the 80th anniversary of women’s suffrage in Italy. For example:

  • games about women’s rights

  • games exploring women’s conditions and history

  • games addressing gender issues, inequalities, and discrimination related to sexual orientation and gender identity

  • games in which the representation of female figures plays a central role

Digital games with a scientific or educational focus, such as:

  • serious games

  • games designed for school or academic use

  • playable simulations

  • games that rigorously address scientific, social, or environmental topics

We are particularly interested in video games created by independent developers, small studios, and emerging or experimental teams.

Please describe in your application who has worked or is currently working on the game. If you are applying as a company, include a brief presentation of your organization.

Are you a medium or large company with a commercial product to present in a more traditional way?
