Three days of Magic like you've never experienced before
For the very first time, the Pauper format comes to Play – the Games Festival, bringing with it all the intensity and strategic depth that has made it one of the most beloved formats in the Magic: The Gathering community. From 22 to 24 May, the MTG booth will be an unmissable destination for players of every level, curious newcomers, and seasoned fans alike — with BOOSE! in attendance.
All three days will feature 10 tables for demos and free play, covering everything from introductory sessions for players taking their first steps in Magic to Booster Drafts and multiplayer Commander games for the more experienced players. Adding to the excitement, content creators Event Horizon, Cinabiondo, Heisen01, and Derrick MTG will be on hand to play, meet fans, and share their love of the game.
The area will also welcome two exceptional artists: Dany Orizio, present throughout the entire event, and Paolo Parente, available each day from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Live entertainment gets a major boost thanks to a collaboration with eBay: the dedicated eBay Live area will host two live streams — on Saturday and Sunday — featuring auctions of TCG products. Event Horizon takes the spotlight on Saturday, with Cinabiondo closing out the weekend on Sunday.
The competitive highlight of the weekend comes in the form of two tournaments: Saturday features Modern and Team Trio Pauper, while Sunday belongs entirely to Pauper, with a dedicated tournament giving the format its moment in the sun. A fantastic chance to watch top-level play — and to test your own skills.
Play is becoming one of the ideal places to experience Magic in every dimension: learn, compete, connect with the community, and celebrate a game that keeps bringing players together from around the world.
See you there for three days of gaming, fun, and Magic!
