Back for its second edition after last year's success
Play – the Games Festival 2026 teams up with Librogame's Land for a new edition of the One-Page Gamebook contest — a celebration of interactive storytelling in the most compact format imaginable: a single sheet of paper.
The contest is open to branching narratives, interactive comics, solo adventures, and visual gamebooks, with one golden rule: everything must fit on a single side of A4.
How to enter
Taking part is simple:
- Write an interactive adventure or branching story on a single side of A4
- Save it as a PDF and send it to info@librogame.net
- Submit by 10 May 2026
How it works
Selected entries will be:
- made available to the public during Play 2026
- played directly at the festival
- voted on by attendees via a dedicated questionnaire
At the close of the festival, the winners will be announced and awarded by Ludo Labo - organisers of Play and proud supporter of this initiative.
The 2026 theme
This year's theme is Women at the Crossroads — in keeping with the spirit of Play 2026. An invitation to explore stories, choices, and journeys centred on female figures, in all their forms and possibilities.
Be sure to read the full call for entries carefully for all technical requirements and submission guidelines — you'll find it on the Librogame's Land website.
