The Call for Masters is officially open, inviting you to be part of one of the most exciting events in the gaming world. PLAY has a new home — new halls, a new city, and a fresh new look… but the spirit remains the same.
At the heart of it all are you — the players — and above all, you, the Game Masters, the driving force of role-playing games. This year, we want to offer you a dedicated space where you can run games, create unforgettable stories, and share your passion.

How to Apply for the Call for Masters
Are you a Game Master looking to put your creativity to the test? Here’s how to take part:
1. Fill out the application form, indicating:
- Your gaming experience.
- The RPG systems you are familiar with.
- The adventure you’d like to run at the Festival.
2. Submit your form by no later than 2 March 2025.
The RPG Secretariat Team will review applications and select the Masters who will be part of PLAY 2025, taking place on 4, 5, and 6 April 2025.
Available Game Slots
You can choose from the following time slots:
📅 Friday, 4 April
- Morning: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
📅 Saturday, 5 April
- Morning: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
📅 Sunday, 6 April
- Morning: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Once selections are finalised, the RPG Secretariat will inform each Master of their assigned session.
What You Get as a Game Master
- Free entry to the festival on the day of your session.
- Feature on the PLAY website, including a technical data sheet, biography and brief presentation of the person chosen as Master.
Note: During the assigned time slot, each Master must remain at their table, even if no players are present. The RPG Secretariat will do its best to prevent this from happening.
What to Run?
Game Masters must prepare:
A short demo (90 minutes), which can be repeated throughout the assigned 4-hour slot.
[Optional] A longer adventure (3-4 hours), which will only run if a minimum number of players sign up.
If not enough players sign up for the long adventure, the short demo will be repeated instead.
How to Join as a Player
If you’d like to take part in a session as a player, email segreteriagdr.play@gmail.com, specifying:
- The session you want to join.
- The number of players you’d like to book for.
Sessions will be published in the event calendar on the PLAY website once the Call for Masters closes.
Adventure Durations
- Short adventures: 90 minutes max, repeated within a 4-hour slot.
- Long adventures: Up to 4 hours, only available if enough players register.
When booking your session as a player, remember to specify whether you prefer a short or long adventure.
