CLEMENTONI

The Clementoni universe has been long driven by the far-sighted vision of the founder, Mario Clementoni: "Playing is a serious game. We should never stop playing, especially when we grow up". He was the one who, in 1963 from a garage in Recanati, breathed life into the company, inventing and creating his first board game “La Tombola della Canzone” (The Tombola of the Song) inspired by the Italian Sanremo Music Festival. A mere four years later, an ingenious idea was sparked. It was immediately apparent that this would revolutionise the history of games: in 1967, Sapientino came into being, launching the philosophy of learning through play to help children grasp concepts while having fun.
Today, Clementoni is an important well-established player in the industry, proudly Italian and strongly focused on foreign markets whilst rooted in its place of origin, where it invents, designs and develops all of the products in its catalogue. Clementoni is a trailblazer and standard-bearer of Italian excellence in Europe and all over the world, exporting to 83 different countries and boasting a turnover of 199 million euro (April 2023 – March 2024), 28 million games sold each year, 7 product lines, 1,100 new codes yearly, 600 employees, 9 sales subsidiaries in addition to the headquarters in Italy (France, Germany, Spain, UK, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Turkey and Poland) and 1 operational branch in Hong Kong.
