Francesco Mattioli
Fantasy Cartographer, editor for Raven Distribution – Will be at Play 2025
Born in Bologna in 1973, Francesco Mattioli began his career as a comic artist and children’s book illustrator before moving into board games, including a long-standing collaboration with Ares Games. He later specialised in fantasy cartography for titles such as Lone Wolf, Lex Arcana, and The One Ring.
In the gamebook world, he is the creator of the Shelby series and editor of the Gamebooks collection for Raven-Vincent Books.
