Matteo "Teooh!" Boca

TeOoh! is the trickiest pseudonym Matteo Boca could have chosen for himself.
Born in 1981, he became a gamer thanks to his younger brother and well-meaning relatives who gifted them board games every Christmas so they could play together—and they did, right into their teenage years.
He rediscovered his love for board games during university, and in 2012 he founded the Ludoteca Galliatese, which still gathers every Wednesday.
In 2013, he launched his YouTube channel Recensioni Minute, offering six-minute videos that summarise the rules and impressions of a board game—just enough to help viewers decide if it’s for them.
Today, the channel boasts over 11,000 subscribers and nearly 700 videos.
Since 2015, he has brought games into companies and schools as educational and training tools. Certified as a LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator, he leads workshops that replace PowerPoint slides with playful experiences.
This work led him to teach an Agile Management course at SUPSI in Lugano.
In 2022, after years of working behind the scenes in game design, he published his first game—actually 21 games in one box: 21 Giochi Minuti, published by GateOnGames.
It’s a portable board game library offering something for everyone, from light to complex, chaotic to silent, solo to party-sized.
To spot TeOoh! at Play, look for someone who seems unfamiliar with the concept of a comb.
