Gioco dell’Anno (Italy)
Awarded annually since 2013 for Game of the Year and RPG of the Year. Winners are selected by a panel of experts and revealed in October at Lucca Comics & Games.
As d’Or (France)
The French Game of the Year Award, presented since 1988 at the Festival International des Jeux in Cannes. Since 2004, the focus has shifted to a single top-tier game selected from ten nominees.
Spiel des Jahres (Germany)
The most prestigious game award in the world, created in 1979 to promote board games as a cultural activity for families and friends.
Jogo do Ano (Portugal)
Awarded by SpielPortugal since 2006, this prize recognizes standout games based on production, theme, mechanics, replayability, interaction, and overall fun.
Deutscher Spielepreis (Germany)
A public-voted award established in 1990. Thousands of players, game clubs, media outlets, and shops vote annually. Winners are announced at the Essen Spiel fair.
International Gamers Award (Worldwide)
Founded in 1999 by Greg Schloesser, this award honors exceptional games and their creators. It includes categories for solo, two-player, and multiplayer games.
