RPGs don’t always need a full party. What happens when the whole story is shared between just two players—a GM and a single player?
Role-playing does not need an entire party at the table. What happens when the adventure takes place in a dialogue between a player and a narrator? In this talk at Play – The Games Festival we will explore two-person role-playing games, analysing their unique dynamics, how they differ from ‘party’ games and the kind of stories that can be told in this narrative intimacy.
We will talk about games designed to be played by couples, but also about how to adapt traditional group-based RPGs into intense and engaging experiences for two. If you have ever thought about playing a deep and personal story with just one other person, or if you want to discover how to make a session in this format memorable, this event is for you!
