4uarto Naturale: Playing D&D with the Audience

4uarto Naturale is a format born on YouTube where live chat users play characters in a D&D adventure using only their phones. Thanks to a custom-built program by Gianluca Stevanella, all audience input is read aloud by an AI—making for a fully immersive experience, no microphones or cameras needed.

New at Play 2025: we’ve built an app that will not only allow you to participate in the event by playing a character, but will involve the entire audience in the adventure! You will answer questionnaires, voice NPCs and face challenges set by the Master during the course of the event.

This project is a test of a totally new kind of live RPG experience in Italy. At the end, we’ll ask you for feedback to help shape the future of this format.
