Francesco Biagini

Born in Perugia in 1979, Francesco Biagini trained at the Scuola Perugina dei Fumetti and holds a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature. He began his career creating illustrations and album covers for rock and metal bands and short comics for Abelard Studio.
In 2007, he illustrated Terra Inferno for French publisher Soleil and went on to win multiple national awards, including the “Lanciano nel Fumetto” competition.
His work for Boom! Studios in the US includes the mini-series Dead Run and Dingo, followed by Elric: The Balance Lost, based on Michael Moorcock’s novels, for which he also designed characters and variant covers. Other notable projects include Higher Earth, Coming of Rage (written by Wes Craven and Steve Niles), 18 Days with Grant Morrison for Graphic India, and Tzitzimime with Marco Cannavò.
In the gaming world, he has illustrated numerous RPGs and gamebooks, including Brancalonia, Apocalisse, Press Start, Sette Eoni in Tibet, and the cult series Oltre l’incubo.
At Play 2025, he will be at the Officina Meningi stand presenting Totem – Il GDR degli Spiriti, which earned the Best Art award at the 2024 NDU Awards.
