ATTORI DI RUOLO “ON STAGE!”

The live campaign of Attori di Ruolo continues! Seven actors and two musicians return to the stage at Play - The Games Festival after launching the show in theaters this March.

Live music throughout the entire event, improvised by Carla Grimaldi and Massimo de Vita, synced perfectly with the game’s emotional beats.

THE SETTING:

Valkaris is a dark world devoid of magic, a region surrounded by perennial mists, which from time to time pour in from the sea and the mountains to wipe out part of the human race in search of the Children of the Mist: kids who develop a curse that acts as a lure for the Mist, which once it arrives erases every form of living being it encounters.

As the only bulwark against this dark evil stands the Church of Candour, whose clerics and paladins can - allegedly - cross the Mist unharmed, travelling through Valkaris in search of the cursed youngsters to lead them to the Monastery, the only place that can grant them and those around them salvation and comfort.

Valkaris is a world that also speaks of slavery and pain, where elves are forced to wear collars because of a curse that is said to have been on their kind for thousands of years, and where they have no right of speech or freedom. Where orcs themselves are mostly considered to be labour power and subservient to humans. Where everything is regulated by the 4 deities of Candour to maintain an order that is ironclad against the advance of annihilation that the Mist represents.

THE STORY SO FAR:

...one of the clerics, the appointed Patronus of a frontier village, raised to the rank of Cleric of the Third Threshold (the highest honour in the Church of Candour), after his private investiture ceremony, was overcome by madness and fled to a small ruined shrine.

In the foundations of that ancient place, the Heroes found a second underground temple, the existence of which no one knew. A portal at the bottom of that shrine opened as a river of Mist invaded the room, spewing forth a demon made of mist determined to claim the body of the now dying Cleric and the strange stone he held in his hands.

But just before the cleric was grabbed, a magical deflagration never seen on Valkaris, triggered by the breaking of the collar of Jhetro - the group's elf - rendered many of his companions unconscious.

And now… there’s only one thing left to do: ROLL INITIATIVE.
